Calculate the price for your whole stay

Write down the arrival date and expected departure date. Ask whether the price is based on calendar months, a fixed number of nights or another period. Check the cost of extra days and whether the rate changes if you extend.

Ask about cancellation, early departure, extensions and deposit deductions before paying. Find out how much notice an extension needs and whether the same unit and rate can be kept. Do not assume an informal message guarantees a future booking.

Use a properly documented arrangement and check the provider's relevant permissions for the type of stay. Keep payment receipts and the agreed terms together.
